LeAnne Shelton Jones serves as a Regional Literacy Leadership Coach for Northwest Georgia RESA, bringing more than 28 years of experience in education and a deep commitment to supporting teachers and student achievement.  

Before joining Northwest Georgia RESA in 2025, LeAnne served in a variety of educational leadership and instructional roles. She spent 17 years as a K–5 classroom teacher and instructional coach before transitioning into school and district leadership, where she served for 10 years as an assistant principal, principal, and Executive Director overseeing elementary curriculum, interventions, Pre-K, gifted education, and remedial programs.  LeAnne served the NWGA RESA region as a Let's Read Georgia Literacy Coach during the 2025-26 school year.

 LeAnne holds a Master’s Degree in Reading Education and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership. She is passionate about empowering educators to reach their fullest potential, believing that strong teachers create meaningful opportunities for every student to succeed.  

Outside of her professional role, LeAnne loves spending time with her family as a devoted wife, mom, and proud “LeLe.” She also enjoys running, serving in church ministry, reading, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
